Region Review Information


Our staff are trained to independently and objectively assist the Department through consultation and advisory services, reviews, audits, training, sensitive investigations and oversight activities. Our role is to assist management and support Department agencies that have a direct effect on the overall quality of client services. Our services are described in more detail below:

  • Consult with Department agencies to help them resolve problems, achieve more efficiency in their processes, and prevent problems where possible.
  • Review providers fiscal practices as they relate to Department contracts.
  • Consult with providers concerning audit requirements, the contract budget, and accounting requirements.
  • Review DHS programs for economy and efficiency.
  • Review DHS program effectiveness.
  • Perform DHS internal reviews of possible policy violations, such as conflict of interest reviews.
  • Review and investigate possible fraud or inappropriate activities by individuals or organizations providing services to the Department.
  • Review and investigate possible fraud or inappropriate activities by employees of the Department.
  • Perform reviews and consultation for Department electronic data processing systems.
  • Assist with protection of human rights issues.
  • Perform Region Audits to assist with Region certification
